I got a request to work on some baby shower invites that involoved having a little birdie involved in it and their color scheme was a minty green and brown. I knew instantly that kraft paper would be the way to go for these, and I wanted to go for the peek-a-boo style for the invitation as a whole. I knew right away that I would wantto work with Tim Holtz distress ink to get that distressed edge on the invite.
I ended up going for two blus birds in a nest. I found the perfect paper to go with their color scheme and it also had that distressed feel to it so it all tied in well with the inside distressed edges. I fell in love with this invitation I think it came out so adorable and my customers were equally as in love with them.
I had the nest in the bottom part of the card and the birdies on the top flap, so that when the card closed the birdies would get nestled right into their nest. I dried embossed the top flap and added a sun die cut.
In addition to making the invitations, i also made coordidating baby shower decorations. A coordinating banner and cupcake toppers/flags were also made. The toppers were made in shape of a sun. This was such a fun order to work on and I was so pleased with the outcome and I was happy to know that my customer too was just as in love with their products as I was. Lots more to come!
