Pin It now!
Aside from being a craft whore i am also a camera whore i always have a camera in my purse ALWAYS! I have like a gazillion memory cards and to my surprise I don't lose them, I hope that by saying that I didn't just jinx myself.
I love to take lots and lots of pictures and when you step foot in our house its very obvious I have pictures everywhere! So why is it that when I craft its such a drag for me to get out the camera and snap a shot of my creation?
I can't tell you how many times I have made something so adorable that I have sent off without first snapping a picture of it. Ughhh i hate it when I do that. And after each time I always say take a whatever picture at the very least with the point and shoot camera so that at least you have a snap shot of it but i don't do it. Maybe because deep down I want an awesome picture and don't feel like busting out the light box and take a picture(s) so I just settle for not having a picture of it at all due to laziness, how pathetic on my part.
I think it also may be because most of the time I stay up so late crafting that by the time I am all done with it all I want to do is just clean up and get to bed. And again having to get out all the light box just seems like so much work when its getting close to 1am and I need to get up in 5 hours. Or sometimes its just that I created something for a last minute birthday gift that there is such a rush that I just don't have enough time and most likely getting rushed.
This weekend we took a trip down to the bay, we didn't get a chance to be with my future father in law for his birthday a couple weeks ago, so we took a trip down there this weekend to see him. He is totally into DVD concerts, so we pick up for him Sade and Stevie Wonder (the man has excellent music taste) and I get some awesome matte vellum paper, and I hand stamp it with a cool damask stamp in blue, purple and red inks. It turned out so great, it totally looked like it was boutique style wrapping paper. I used hemp cord to tie all together and a handmade manila gift tag that was hand stamped as well in a smaller coordinating stamp the whole gift just looked smokin' great! But you will never get to see it and see how right I am about how amazing it looked well because I didn't take a picture of it grrrrrrr...
I need to come up with a method, perhaps craft it up all night and then do a "photoshoot" the next day? Because this whole doing it right when I am done is obviously not working out for me. All I know is that I need to try something new so I don's miss snapping shots of my stuff.
