DIY From blah to "Hello, Luva"

Pin It now! Pinterest, you have once again inspired me! Last night I was doing what all Real Housewives of Pennsylvania do ... I was PINNING, yo! While I was sucked into the black hole of pinterest for hours upon hours, I came across this amazing, totally inspiring, blog on turning a blah boring space into every girls dream craft room! I was totally inspired by all the not so pretty furniture that she transformed into craft room gems. I pinned it instantly ... then ohhhed and awwwed over all the creativity she created. Loved. Every single thing in that room.

With that said ... I was on a mission! A mission to transform my craft space into an envious craft cave that all my friends (esp. Mabel) would die for! So, while surfing facebooks "buy sell or trade" pages (which by the way, I love) .... I came across this gem.

Within seconds, I am sending links and photos to Mabel ... because well, this blog is called "Crafters across the miles" and we tend to share EVERYTHING with one another ... and I needed her input!!!

Me: "What do you think? Potential?"
Me: "It's super cute ... for my craft room?"

Mabel: "Total potential".
Mabel: "You could even chalk the mirror"

Me: "Brilliant!!! I'm buying it"!

Literally, one-hour later ... I had this gem in my hands. I stared at it and thought of all its potential and decided I could not wait ... so this morning, I woke up early and got to crackin!

The knobs on the side of the mirror ... eh, sorry - had to go. Not my style, yo! :)

And the wall paper on the mirror ... ek ... banish and be gone! :)

Ohh ... no wonder there was wall paper on this .... someone was covering some rum verbiage !

I was going to consider leaving it as a mirror, but with the wording on it, I decided to chalk it up. And so I did ....

A few hours later, my gem is complete. Well, almost ... but, I was too excited I had to post anyways! I am going to add a wired basket to the bottom.

Keep checking back ... I will be sure to post more!!
xoxo E
