Pin It now!
Well, in the words of Miss. Britney Spears ... "It's been a while"! I just thought I would share some of my projects on the blog.
Shabby Chic has me by my pinky ... if you can not already tell. I am OBSESSED!!! I have also had vintage fever and have been busy!!! Check out some of my "Before" & "Afters" ... I would love to answer any questions you might have ... like what kind of paints/brushes/techniques I use. Just comment below and I will get back to you!
Okay ... so let's start, shall we?! Below you will find a GORGEOUS hutch that I scored for um $50!!!! Gorgeous, doesn't even do it justice ...
The detail on the front is just stunning and it is almost amazing that it was perfectly still in tact!!! I redid this piece for my daughter's Shabby Chic (I have the shabby fever) room makeover. I went with a white and grey for this to match her new colors. (Pale Pink, White and Grey).
As you can see, I even painted the hardware and aged it a little ... the decal on the front was painted a Paris Grey. Love at first sight, right?!
My next project was simple & chic:
You have probably seen those "Headboard/Footboard" tutorials on pinterest, right? Well, my sweet love helped me assemble this beauty. It looks just lovely, right?
I really WISH I would have taken a "Before" photo of this frame ... it was an ugly GOLDEN color and had a stained up mirror on it. I loved the ornate frame to pieces so I bought it for my daughter's room makeover, thinking that instead of a candle she could drape necklaces over it and use the chalkboard for her liking ... instead, I went with a different frame and added this to my ETSY shop.
This photo just shows an array of things. I wanted to "Spring Clean" so I re-did a few of the "uglys" (chair and cradle) to throw in a future yard sale. The chair sold almost immediately.
The cradle is total vintage. I redid the color because it was an (ugly) shade of peachy something blah, and I knew it needed a new life. I then added a quilt like material and some foam and because I am all about the shabby - some pretty ruffles to trim.
It is available in my ETSY shop. Would make for an AWESOME photography prop! :)
These other pieces are future makeovers ... I will post some "AFTERS" once they are completed!
That desk needs some major WORK!!! It had wall paper on the top, a light fixture attached to the front, and it smells of cigarette smoke. Lovely, huh? The price was too good to pass up ($30) and will look super lovely in my daughter's shabby chic room!
The Hutch (Someone joked that I need to join "Hutch Hoarders Anonymous" ... it's true. I should. I can not resist them! LOL
Well, that is all ... exciting huh?
Until next time!
