Teacher Appreciation Week GIFT IDEA

Pin It now! So, this week is "Teacher Appreciation Week"!! A time for all of us mom's to "Thank" our lovely teachers for educating our little loves. In honor of that, we shower those sweet hearts of theirs with gifts! I was on a mission to make mine this year {.... because I'm crafty and cool like that}, but, my son's Pre-K class has THREE (3) sweet teachers and so I needed to do this on the cheap. So where do I head? To the Dollar Tree of course!!! I found these super cute totes and flops for only One Dollar {makes you wanna holla} each!!!

I then took them home and worked my magic .... using scrap fabric I wrapped fabric around the straps of the flip flops, dabbing a little hot glue as I went. I then attached a pretty homemade rossette flower to the center ..{and of course one of my NEW labels for some extra glam}.

Then I cut out their first initial and used heat and bond to attach it to the bag. {Note: these are not real canvas bags, so when you iron these on, I suggest using a piece of fabric between the iron and the letter to avoid damaging the canvas. The cheap material kind of stinks when you iron it, but, don't worry - it should be okay}. When they were all done, they looked like this:
