Pin It now!
Well, we survived 2011! I hope that all of you had an amazing year ... and a safe and fun New Years eve last night. We at crafters across the miles would like to encourage you to FOLLOW OUR (totally awesome) BLOG. So with that ... Let's ring in the NEW YEAR with some followers!!!! As you can see ... Our blog is pretty NEW ... and we would LOVE it if you would so kindly "follow" our blog and then leave a comment below that you have done so.
As a Special "THANK You" ... we would like to offer you the below subway art work created by crafters across the miles, just for you (just for following), along with an awesome DIY tutorial on how to make your very own non-expensive subway artwork. It's just our way of saying "Thanks" for following our blog.
(to grab these subway art work - click on the image, right click and save).
So what are you waiting for? Go to the top left hand corner of this blog and click "FOLLOW" and then follow this super easy tutorial on how to make your very own Subway Art Canvas!
(Que New Kids on the block song here).
Items you will need:
8 x 10 canvas
Black Acrylic Paint
paint brush
Mod Podge
Craft Bond
Step 1: Paint your canvas (including the sides) black. Let it dry for 30-45 mins (or longer). Acrylic paint dries fairly fast. So awesome.
Step 2. Print off your awesome Subway Art and trim the white off of it.
Step 3. After your canvas is completely dry, spray the back of the print off with the craft Bond and then center it on your canvas and press down to secure it.
Step 4. Use your paint brush again to cover your paper and canvas entirely with mod podge. Remember to smooth it out with your hands or paint brush so that it does not dry bubbly.
Let it dry over night.
Next day ... hang that bad boy on your wall and ENJOY!!!!
Happy NEW YEARS everyone and THANK YOU SO MUCH for following our blog!
xoxo, E & M
