It's really no wonder we have NO followers ... we hardly ever blog!! Which is totally insane considering I do crafts all day, everyday! Ahhh .... such is the life of a domestic goddess / stay at home mom! In fact, every single time I start a project I start off taking a before photo .... but, rarely do I ever take a during! It's so much work, yo!!!! Anyhow, I am doing a playroom make over right now ... YES!!! I promise to take a BEFORE photo even tho I promise it would embarrass me to shame at how disorganized it really is .... which is WHY I am redoing it! So, what five year old doesn't have a ga-zillion and one toys?! My son is no exception to that ... I have collected his un-used toys and very discretely put them in a box with a sign that reads FREE on the curb .... that's one way I have tossed out some clutter! I have also put some of his out grown toys into storage bins to go into storage because this mama can not bear to part with them!!! So, my deli-ma in my playroom makeover is toy storage ... I have cute bins and such but I needed another piece to fit in to to store { yet some more } awesome toys! My local resale shop is pretty awesome ... really ugly stuff (just waiting for a makeover) for dirt cheap! I found this:
for $6!!!! So I took all the stuff he had on top of it off ... got these pretty crates in a stack next to them to see if they would fit on them ... and imagined a sunny yellow paint on them. While I am walking around trying to decide if it is worth the $6 the owner walks over and asks if he can help me ... I tell him "No, I am just trying to decide if I want to buy that and if I want to paint it" ... so he walks over ... looks at it and says ... I will give it to you for $4! SOLD!!!! So, after a trip to the Busy Beaver .... YESS!! CAN YOU BELIEVE they named a hardwood store that?! Ba! ha! Ha!
I went home and started on my sunny yellow paint job!!! And wa-la here is the final finish!!!
