Well, hello awesome door decor!

Pin It now! I can honestly say that I rarely make trips to Micahels these days. Not because I dont love an awesome craft store, but, because going to Michaels involves "a little kid in a candy store" mentality ... and I go NUTS!!!!! That was no exception to my last stop at Micahels where I discovered these A-MA-ZING laser cut frames!!!! The possibilities with these are ENDLESS!!! I bought one large for my front door and one small for my daughter's bedroom door! How cute?! My finishing product looks like this:

I do believe I am in LOVE!!!! In fact, I am going back just to get one more - how cute would it be to have an "e" "&" and "d" hanging over our bed in our room, with the frame?! I am in love!

Supplies you might need:
Laser Cut Frame: $6.99 (use their 40% off coupon)
Letter for door: $3.99
Ribbon: $3.99
Scrapbook paper: $.29 cents!

This project is EASY!!!

All you have to do is paint your frame in your color of choice. I went with grey, as I was wanting to have a clean yet spring like feel to it. After my paint dried I applied Martha Stewart Crafts Satin Finish. It will help preserve it and keep it pretty!

For the letter - I used an adhesive spray to glue the paper on ... then used a sand paper block to smooth the edges and make the paper fall off ... {please note, that step is super fun! Its like the best way EVER to cut paper when needing perfect edges}. After you get your edges cut, apply paint to the edges to coordinate with your paper. I used purple and white paper so I went with a purple paint color.

Now, apply your ribbon. I wish I would have taken photos of steps, but if for some reason you get confused, just leave me a comment and I will respond with better directions! :) Basically, cut two pieces of ribbon to be 2 or 3 inches long - that ribbon will be attached to the frame that attaches to the letter. I used my awesome hot glue gun for that. Then create your bow ... I created a little loop on the back of my bow so that it would hang on my door. I tied the ribbon onto the frame.

Anyhow - that is how I made it .... let me know how yours turns out!!! :)
xoxo, E
