Sweet 15!

Last month I got an email about creating invites for a quinceañera, which is much like an American version of a Sweet 16 for most parts of Latin America only we celebrate it at the age of 15. Its a coming of age celebration. In all honesty its like having a wedding for a single girl, there is a fancy dress, a mass, an entorage and all your Tia's and your Tio's (aunts and uncles) from all over come out to celebrate. Its a pretty big deal for our young Latinas.
This birthday girl I was working with was no exception. She and her mom knew exactly what they wanted. They wanted to do a brown and tan animal print that would have a picture of her photography session. Their photographer did such an amazing job with her shoot that I'm sure it was tough to pick the perfect photo since they were all so stunning! Oh and can I just tell you about the dress, OHHHH LALAA..her dress was a BEAUTY! It made me wish I was 15 again so I can get a dress just like it! So back to the invites, they choose a great image to be used for the invites and it meshed so well with the design I had created for them. And to top it off Alina may be appearing on the MTV TR3's Quiero Mis Quince which is the Latino version of their ever popular show MTV's Sweet 16. How cool is that!!
