Pin It now!
If you are like me, then you are probably debating on what to do with all those fabulous Christmas cards that you got this year from all your super fab friends/family who thought of you this Christmas. Well, I totally wasn't sure what I was going to do with them ... I usually throw them in my Christmas storage and then (sadly) the next Christmas they stay there or get tossed out. (You know you do that, too. Don't hate).
This year, I wanted to actually DO SOMETHING (OMG! Britney Spears song just popped into my head), anyhow, thats when I stumbled across this blog tutorial on creating your own Christmas Card Keepsake Booklet! Loved it ... she even provides a cute printable. I couldn't resist ... took me an easy 30 mins to create and of course I had EVERYTHING here to create it. Mine is a little diff. from hers. I used ribbon to secure the cards together.
Here is how I made mine:
Gather all your 2011 Christmas Cards and punch them using a hole puncher.
After I hole punched all my cards ... I used the printable from the above link and attached it to some black card stock, then hole punched it and began stringing some ribbon thru it.
I LOVE the way ribbon looks when it has been split in half, so I did that to my green ribbon for some extra frill.
I am pretty happy with the way it turned out ... and will totally be repeating this project EVERY year!
**** Also, not a bad idea to use the above on Birthday cards! My little guy just turned 5 in November, and I totally just gathered all those cards to create a little Birthday card booklet for him. I'll be sure to post pics from that soon! xo e
