Life and Other Stuff with Mableen: A Twist.

As many of you know, I am also a photographer on top of being a working mom. It's a passion that I have had since forever and as you know, doing something you love, whole heartedly, just makes life that much more enjoyable. That is what life is all about, anyways, right?!

My sweet friend from high school recently had a baby in May. Before baby girl came, this photo was all over the internet ...

It was pretty epic to see how this photographer (Emily Garrison Photography) posted one image (brilliant, might I add), during a time in her life where she was unsure if Photography was going to work for her. She writes on her page that "She was crying out to GOD on 5/6 if photography was still his will for her" and just like that, everything changed. She went from 450 likes to 22,100!

OVER NIGHT!!!

I don't know this photographer, but, I admire her work. Her artwork, has been seen all over the world. Is that not just crazy? I couldn't even imagine having an image go viral like that. Just pure awesomeness.

Pinterest even has a bunch of renditions of it with older brothers, dads, etc. Nothing really compares to the simplicity and beauty of Emily Garrison's photo. It's a hard shoe to fill, to recreate this.

Michelle & I both knew the moment that we saw that, just like many other mom's of boys with a new baby girl, would, that this photo just had to happen for her. As soon as this photo went viral, Michelle had people posting on her wall that she needed to do this. Michelle is a mom of four boys ... with a sweet little princess to add to that mix. It def. HAD to be done. But, we didn't want to do the same exact thing ...

So we have been brain storming ... and waiting for the perfect time to get all four boys together and recreate this. Her boys, live, breath and sweat baseball. It's literally all this mom of four has time to do. Dad even coaches baseball.

They are truley a family of baseball.

So, we knew that was our theme ... and last night we went with it.
